    PXA 564 (1 box)
    This collection includes photographs by Samuel Cocks, Falk Studio, Sarony and others. The portraits include members of the Berry, Shelly and Hay families (Alexander Berry, Sir Percy Florence Shelley, Bessie Florence Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft, Captain Wingfield, John Hay) 1856 to 1890. There are also photographic views of Coolangatta Station, views of timber clearing on the Shoalhaven Estate and road construction for the Berry to Nowra road, river transport on Broughton’s Creek, 1890’s, a photograph of Conrad Marten’s oil painting, photographs at the family residence in England, c 1867.

    Note on envelope: Plans of the steamers S.S. Meeinderry (1882-1883) and S.S. Coomondery (1885-1886) were enclosed in letters from John Hay (in Scotland) to David Berry (at ‘Coolangatta’)
