    All the drawings are unsigned and only 6 are titled and 5 are dated. Titles and dates for some of the drawings have been taken from the information and plates reproduced in `Three expeditions into the interior of Eastern Australia'
    The collection contains works that are from two of Mitchell's expeditions and which appear to have been reproduced in `Three expeditions into the interior of Eastern Australia ... / by Major T.L. Mitchell (2nd ed.), London : T.& W. Boone, 1839' (ML 981/2B1)

    Fragment of manuscript of 'Three expeditions into the interior of Eastern Australia' Corresponds to p. 289-90 in the printed text of Volume 1 (London : T. & W. Boone, 1838) with slight alterations. Deals with events from 2-5 august 1835. Pencilled manuscript alongside sketch f. 15
