  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Norwegian-born sailor Louis Ole Paulsen (1858-1927) left his homeland in 1873. He worked for the North Coast Steam Navigation Company of N.S.W. and in 1912 became proprietor of Palace Hotel at Watsons Bay in Sydney. He married Eliza Plummer (1856-1936) on 8 March 1887.

    Include papers of Captain Louis Ole Paulsen documenting his ownership of the Palace Hotel, Watsons Bay, N.S.W.; and papers of his widow, Eliza Paulsen, concerning his estate.
