Born in Queensland, Lala Fisher (1872-1929) was in Sydney in 1909 where she purchased the journal Theatre magazine, which she edited until 1918. In her gossipy diary she refers to journalists Henry Boote and Claude McKay, politician William Morris Hughes, newspaper proprietor John Norton, editor and journalist Alfred George Stephens, J.C. Williamson director Hugh Ward, and many other well known figures of the time. - Scope and Content1916-1917; diary with many cooking recipes included, transcript of the diary without the recipes
