    William Lumsdaine (d. 1902) was a son of Captain William Lumsdaine of the 9th Bengal Light Cavalry who died in Calcutta in 1830. William arrived in Sydney with his two brothers and sister in 1836. He became an Anglican minster and bought land at Picton, N.S.W..
