  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Elisabeth Curtis (nee Loneragan), 1917-1999, was a family and historical researcher who published two biographies relating to her ancestors. The first, Where Honour Guides the Prow : a story of early settlers of Sydney Cove, Norfolk Island and the Murrumbidgee, was co-written with her cousin Gillian Doyle in 1987. It is the story of Charles Tompson, poet and public servant, who was Curtis's maternal great, great grandfather. Her second book, James Loneragan : The Golden Years, published in 1991 is about Curtis's paternal grandfather, a retailer and entrepreneur from Mudgee.
