  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Frederick Terry began earning a living as an artist soon after arriving in NSW in search of gold in 1852. As a leading commercial artist in Sydney in the 1850s and 1860s, he produced numerous images for the local press, also maintaining a more formal art practice by exhibiting and selling larger watercolours.
