- Scope and ContentA manuscript copy of a letter written to Mrs Strachan, dated Spithead, 23 Jan. 1781. The writer was not an eyewitness to the death of James Cook since he was on board the Discovery at the time. The copy is unfinished and the writer is unknown. The letter gives a detailed account of the conduct of Lieut. John Williamson. The account covers the period 1 March 1778 to 15 February 1779.
