  • Scope and Content
    Oct. 1773; An eight page fragment, in Cook's hand, describing Tongatabu (or Tongatapu). These pages are part of Cook's journal of the second voyage in the British Museum (Add. MSS. 27888). The two sheets of paper are numbered 72 and 73, and exactly fill a gap in the BM volume. The fragment corresponds to pages 210-217 of volume 1 of the printed journal.
