    1. Power of attorney, dated Norfolk Island, 9 October 1796, of Fane Edge to James Sykes.

    2. Letter of attorney, dated Norfolk Island, 20 October 1796, of Thomas Hibbins to James Sykes.

    3. Petition, dated Hobart Town, 23 October 1808, to Lieut. Governor Foveaus, Port Jackson, from the Norfolk Island settlers now evacuated to Van Diemens Land, asking for loss of stock to be made good.

    4. The case of Thomas Northey Esq. captain in the army and Captain of Sandown Castle, Isle of Wight dated London, 16 October 1786, in which he gives details of his service and asks for relief in his present distress.

    5. Warrant, dated Dublin Castle, 9 July 1849, addressed to the Lieut. Governor of Van Diemens Land, transferring to him the convicts William Smith O'Brien, Terence Bellew McManus, Patrick O'Donohue and Thomas Francis Meagher: with letter of transmittal and list of the men.

    6. Letter, dated Lake Sorell, 3 January 1852, to Thomas Mason, Police Magistrate of the District of Campbell Town, resigning his ticket-of-leave and withdrawing his parole.

    7. Letter, dated New Norfolk, 4 October 1852, to the Lieut. Governor of Van Diemens Land, undertaking not to attempt to escape from the Colony between 5 November 1852 and 5 May 1853; with separate sheet giving his description.
