  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    During the 2005 Festival of Drawing, organised by the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, the Festival Director Mike Esson asked four artists each to create a print which responded to the collections of the State Library. The selected artists were Alun Leach-Jones, Michael Kempson, Rew Hanks, and Anie Nheu. Cicada Press, the publisher of the prints, is the imprint of the Custom Printmaking Program at the College of Fine Arts. Under the Program, a series of artists with an established national and international reputation is invited to create artworks using printmaking media.

    1. Don't Shoot the Tiger or the King / Rew Hanks
    Relief print, image 40 x 30 cm, on paper 50.5 x 40.5 cm.
    One lino block printed in black.
    Printed by Rew Hanks in conjuction with Cicada Press COFA UNSW on Velin Arches 300gsm paper.
