    Lena Stanley (Mrs G. LaidLaw) was a lyric soprano. She trained in the method of the Greder School of Opera and Singing, where she was a pupil. She took over the School from Emil H. Greder in 1914.
    Emil H. Greder (1867-1919), actor, bass baritone and stage director, was a member of the German Grand Opera Company brought to Australia by entrepreneur George Musgrove in 1907. At the end of the tour he and his wife, singer Vallerie Waller, remained in Sydney to open the Greder School of Opera and Singing at 314 George Street, Sydney. Greder left Sydney in 1914.
