  A letter from Sally Blaxland of Bromley, Kent, England, to Harriott Blaxland, of Newington, Silverwater, N.S.W., 27 September 1844, refers to a portrait of Jane. In the letter Sally Blaxland writes "I think your next letters will tell us your opinion of dearest Jane's portrait."
