    PETITION
    June 1839; Petition of Captain, Chief of the Caddie Tribe to Governor Sir George Gipps requesting a boat with which to earn his living. It is annotated with recommendations as to his good character by land and house holders of the district of Pitt Town - John Grono, Thomas Arndell, William Hall, Joseph Smith, David Roberts, Richard Roberts and John McDonald.

    SWORN STATEMENTS
    11 October 1841- 18 November 1841; Statements sworn at Bathurst before the police magistrates by William Carr, George Sutton, George Flitcroft, John Butcher, Sergeant Michael Reilly and Corporal Peter McEvoy concerning charges of murder against Joey alias Cudjenmoly and Jaco alias Currajomblay. The statements of Reilly and McEvoy are enclosed in a letter dated 9 November 1841 from Lieutenant W.S. Nicholson at Bathurst to the Officer Commanding the Mounted Police.
