    The album appears to have been compiled by a member of the Manning family, possibly John Edye Manning, who has signed some of the drawings.

    None of the works are dated. Date derived from costume of people in photographs and from the publication, "Old buildings of Hunters Hill, Sydney, 1979 (ML ref. Q981.1/149), of which some of the properties have been identified.

    The album has two numbering systems with each page numbered and a number assigned to each item. The contents list is based on the number for the item.
    No.4 has handwritten text on the reverse in black ink.

    Nos. 14-15 have been identified as St Claire from "Old buildings of Hunters Hill, Sydney, 1979 (ML ref. Q981.1/149)

    No.30 on the reverse at the lower edge is handwritten text in pencil that is difficult to read.

    Page 61 bears text, "Our residence at Krentznach" but the page is blank with no work on this page.
