  Piguenit explored the Grose River with a larger party in October 1875: Australian Town & Country Journal, 9 October 1875 p. 20.
  He exhibited paintings of the Grose Valley in the 1876 NSW Academy of the Arts exhibition: Sydney Morning Herald 13 April 1876 p.3.
  This painting is No.218 "In the Valley of the Grose, [Blue Mts.] - R. Piguenit, O/P" on the list of pictorial material from D.S. Mitchell's Bequest which was stored at the Art Gallery of New South Wales whilst the Mitchell Library was being constructed.
