On the reverse of the mount, handwritten in pencil, "A.W.F. Fuller / 14 Novr. 1934 / [pound note symbol] 5"
Affixed to the back of the housing for the drawing is a handwritten note by the donor that relates to the provenance of this item and another watercolour drawing by T. Bock of "Jenny, Native of Port Sorell, Van Diemen's Land", located at SV/108 Mitchell Library. On one side the text reads: "I purchased these 2 drawings out of the J. Edge-Partington Colln. on 14 Novr. 1934 & as he had acquired various paintings, re., from the Niece of Lady Franklin (who had collected then in Tasmania at the time of her husband, Sir John Franklin, was Governor), I think there is little doubt that these 2 drawings come with them, although this fact is not so stated by Partington in his catalogue. Jenny is also illustrated on pl 14, facing p.300, in Gibbins, 'Early History of Tasmania'". The opposite side of the note provides details of title, price, size, and published references.
