    Harold Dudley Andrews, a farmer of Wauchope, New South Wales enlisted in the AIF in July 1915 at the age of 18 and embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A32 Themistocles, 5 Oct. 1915. After training in Egypt he served in France where he was wounded in action, 21 July 1916, awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty and became the youngest Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion. He returned to Australia on the Boorara, 6 July 1919
