At the top centre of the frame is a metal clasp shaped like bundle of grapes with and a loop for hanging. - 8.4 x 6.8 cm. (image, sight) ; 2.1 cm. (loop) ; 15.5 x 12.5 cm. (frame)

    The hand-writting on the reverse of the frame is the same as the inscription on; [Colonel James Erskine, ca. 1785-1795 / watercolour on ivory miniature] (MIN 165) and is most likely from the same donor.
