    23 May 1818 - 27 Nov. 1821; Copies of despatches sent to Governor Macquarie, that generally commence with number of the despatch, formal acknowledgement of depatches received from Macquarie, the name of ship that transported correspondence, and reports on the state of affairs and general business relating to the administration of Van Diemen's Land. Matters discussed mainly relate to military and civic rations, acquittal of Mr Broughton, bushrangers and law and order, arrival of ships, misconduct of officials and legal proceedings, public works, medical officers, education, land use, and convicts.
