Objects - 1 wax medallion in oval shaped brown wooden frame with glass front - 15.2 x 12 x 2.5 cm. (frame)

The portrait features a head and shoulders profile of Dorothea Banks with draped material around base.

Undated.
There are several paper labels affixed to the reverse of the frame:
"[Wedgwood motif] / Old Wedgwood. / XVIIIth Century Art. / F. Rathbone" -- printed.
"20, Alfred Place West, (near Museum), / South Kensington, London, S.W." -- printed
"Lady Banks / Original portrait in wax modelled by James Tassie. -- handwritten in black ink.
"H / 228" on ink on circular shaped label refers to number assigned by the Australian Museum.
There is a crack through the lower right of the portrait.
