    Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin (1879-1954), novelist and feminist, is best known for her novel, My brilliant career (1896).
  • Scope and Content
    Copy of a letter from Miles Franklin to her great-uncle Fred Kinred. At this time Miles Franklin was staying on the Isle of Man, her great-uncle's birthplace, and in the letter she describes the places she has visited and people she has met. It is signed 'Stella Franklin'. Also included is a photocopy of Miles Frankin's signature in her friend Ethel Bridle's birthday book.
