    David Bradbury is an Australian filmmaker well-known for such documentaries as Loggerheads and The Battle for Byron. Nick Shand (1948-1996) ran an independent newspaper at Mullumbimby called The Echo.
  • Scope and Content
    This collection depicts the local community of Byron Shire on the Far North Coast of New South Wales faced with critical issues relating to social and political change, development and the environment. It includes the rushes and out-takes for the films 'The Battle for Byron II' and 'Nick Shand Unplugged', interviews with developers, politicians, local residents and activists. It comprises the content of 123 original mini DVD tapes of rushes copied onto 37 VHS video cassettes together with documentary masters and associated documentation. Also includes 58 compact discs of 'Battle for Byron 2' out-takes with a detailed datalog and contents summary, 1996-2000.
