Commissary General N.S. Wales. Enlisted Jany 1915 A.I.F. Infantry on Provost Marshal Staff, Liverpool. March 1915, transferred to 1st Royal Aust. Naval Bridging Training. Left Port Melbourne Vic. June 6th 1915, 500 strong & 400 horses with waggons. Landed at Imbros Island & s- to be returned invalided Jany 1916 dysentery & heart-trouble. Returned to unit July 25 1916, rejoined unit at Suez as Assistant Master at Arms. Returned invalided April 27th 1917.
