The One Extra Company Ltd (trading as One Extra Dance) was an independent commissioning house for contemporary dance and movement based theatre. The company was founded in 1976 by Kai Tai Chan (Artistic Director 1976-1991). Led by Graeme Watson and Julie Anne Long (1992-1996), the company developed strong collaboration with leading dancers, designers and composers like Eamon D’arcy and Antony Partos. Productions include Dancing Demons, Cats Step Softly, Blossoms and Wrinkles, Everything But, Suburban Pirates, Drowning in a Sea of Dreams. In 1997 the company moved to a producer led model, the first Executive Producer was Janet Robertson (1997-1999) and then Amanda Card (2000-2006).
