    John David Booth (1951- ) was educated at Sydney Church of England Grammar School and the University of Sydney where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees. He was pre-selected as the Liberal candidate for the State seat of Wakehurst in 1983. He was elected to the NSW Legislative Assembly at the 1984 state election. Booth was MLA for Wakehurst until he lost pre-selection for the seat prior to the 1991 state election.
