    A Magnificent spectacle caption -- George Lauri was considered the best comic actor in musical comedy and an extraordinary dancer during his time with J. C. Williamsons. Between 1890 and 1907 he played over 60 parts all leading roles. Unfortunately, ill health affected his last years on stage and led to his premature death in January 1909.
