    A Magnificent spectacle caption -- American actor Nance ONeill was the star attraction for J. C. Williamsons at the opening of the newly upgraded Her Majestys in Melbourne on 19 May 1900. ONeill toured Australia from 1905 to 1906 opposite another American actor, Arthur McKee Rankin. This tour included serious plays by Sudermann and Ibsen, with the highly controversial performance of Fires of St John among them.
