Harry G. and Caroline Watson, of Broken Hill, joined the New Australia Co-operative Settlement Scheme in 1893 and went to Paraguay in 1894. After returning to Australia they moved to the Western Australian goldfields. In 1900 they purchased a property in south western Western Australia which they developed into an orchard.

1893; Certificates of membership of the New Australia Co-operative Settlement Association issued to Harry G. Watson and Caroline Watson, with receipt and statements of accounts

12 April 1898; Letter to Mrs Watson from Edwin and Eliza Jones, written from New Australia, giving news of the Colony; with photograph thought by donor to be the family of the writer.

Paper money comprising 5 cents Paraguay, 10 cents Argentina, 1 peso New Australia Colony, removed from A 3306/Items 7-9 and transferred to SAFE/A 3306/Items 7-9 (reproduced on microfilm CY 500)
