(1) Certificate, titled "Univ. Sidn.", issued by John Wolley, principle registrar, stating that David Scott Mitchell satisfactory attended the University of Sydney from first year to the end of third term, 1853 [this document is in Latin]
(2) Postcard, used as a calling card, with view of Cumberland Place on the front, and Sydney postmark with handwritten address to "David S. Mitchell Syd. M.A. / 17 Darlinghurst Road / Darlinghurst" on the reverse.

The view of Cumberland Place on the postcard is a copy of the watercolour, SSV1/Res/Cum P/1 (Mitchell Library).
The postcard has an accompanying note by a former Mitchell Library Officer that identifies the handwriting as belonging to Hugh Wright, Mitchell Librarian.

At lower left hand corner on front of postcard, "I will call up on / Tuesday or Wednesday / next, if convenient to you / 30.3.05 / HW".
