Sir George Allard kept the fragments of transmitting and recording tapes as a memento of the first Beam Wireless message, 8 April 1927. These fragments read: [Ro]"yal Highnesses are assured" and "youths be led towards the". The former is almost certainly is a reference to the Duke & Duchess of York who paid an official visit to Australia between March and May 1927 to open the first session of the Commonwealth Parliament in the new national capital, Canberra.
