Vessey of voyage to Australia on the Canaan, 1869. 3. Letters of Leonard Vessey to parents Thomas and Sarah Vessey, 1869-1879. Letters describe voyage to Australia, N.S.W. politics, impressions of Bathurst, surveying trip to Moruya and South Coast in 1871, impressions of Bega, work in Surveyor-General's Dept. and as assistant draughtsman, etc. There is also a letter and reference for Vessey written by A. Park, the surveyor at Hill End in 1872-73. 4. Photographs of surveyors at Hill End, Sept. 1872 and photograph of L.A. Vessey, c. 1875
