General William Henry Adelbert Feilding, as agent of the Emigrants' and Colonists' Aid Corporation, visited Australia and New Zealand in 1871 and selected 10 000 acres of land near Palmerston North, N.Z. General Feilding again visited Australia in 1881 and New Zealand in 1894

Correspondence, diaries, cuttings and drawings of General Feilding. The deal with his visit to Australia and New Zealand in 1871-72 to select land for the Colonists; Land and Loan Corporation; his visit to Queensland in 1881-82 to advise on a railway from Rom to Point Parker; and the work on the Transcontinental Railway Syndicate. There is also a diary of Charlotte Fielding on a trip to Canada, New Zealand and Singapore in 1894-95
