  • Scope and Content
    (1) MAV/FM4/1441-1445: Deeds, logbooks and other papers, 1838-61 associated with the Triton and the John Wesley I and John Wesley II. Papers include lists of stores, crew lists, cargo manifests, accounts connected with construction of the ships, and with supplies obtained for them from tradesmen in London, Sydney and Auckland. (2) MAV/FM4/1445: Deeds and letters concerning land and church property, mainly in New Zealand, 1829-95. (3) MAV/FM4/1445 & MAV/FM4/1562: Correspondence, principally with government departments, including lengthy letters about the ownership of land in New Zealand and the effect of Governor Grey's policies, letters concerning the formation of the Australasian Conference in 1855, and miscellaneous correspondence from New Zealand, the Friendly Islands, Fiji and Tasmania, 1827-1828
