Fane referring to New Zealand, Arthur Orton and the Tichborne trial; selections 1791-97 from the diaries of Matthew Flinders, father of Matthew Flinders the explorer, referring to his son's voyage and promotion; correspondence 1800-07 of Matthew Flinders Jnr. to his family referring to his circumnavigation of New Holland and imprisonment on the Ile de France; correspondence of Capt. G.R.P. Jarvis including letters from Lachlan Macquarie. Also includes Ancaster papers, Monson papers, Turnor papers and other papers
