  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    In March 1962, an exhibition entitled, 'Grand Voiliers Autour du Monde: Les Voyages Scientifiques, 1760-1850', was held in the Musee de la Marine, Paris. Items displayed included paintings, drawings, manuscripts, maps, ethnographical objects and natural history specimens.
  • Scope and Content
    1. 11pp. copy of a transcript, in French, of a report by a member of Nicolas Baudin's expedition in 1801, describing the west coast of Australia and containing an account of the discovery of the Vlamingh Plate on Dirk Hartog Island. The report covers the period, 26 July - 4 Aug. 1801.
