    The Broad Left Conference was held at the New South Wales Institute of Technology, Sydney, 28-31 March 1986. The aim of the conference was to provide a forum for the broad left to discuss effective responses to current Australian political developments and to the vital issues of the 1980s and 1990s. The conference was based on workshops, seminars and panel discussions.
