    Mavis Appleyard (1927-) lived in England with her family until 1937, when at the age of 10 years, she emigrated to Australia with the Fairbridge Farm School Scheme at Molong. In 1949 she married Douglas Appleyard.

    Part 1. 'Problem Child', typescript, ca. 2003, describes Mavis Appleyard's life in England, voyage to Australia and life there in a juvenile institution.

    Part 2. 'Problem Girl', typescript, ca. 2003-2005

    Part 3. 'Problem Wife', typescript, ca. 2005, describes family life in England and emigration with Fairbridge Farm School Scheme at Molong, 1938-2004

    Also included is a copy of poetry 'Ballads of a Bush Bride' by Mavis Appleyard, published 1995
