    Adapted from a medallion by Lewis Pingo and possibly modelled by John Flaxman Jnr., this item is similar to the framed medallions, P*53 and P*65 (uncushioned), and P*27 (black basalt ware).
    The medallion is jasperware and the style imitates antique cameos.
