Objects - 1 white on blue jasper ware medallion with cushion moulding, oval in shape and unframed. - 11.5. x 8.7 cm.

James Cook is depicted in left profile with with head and shoulders featured.

Adapted from a medallion by Lewis Pingo and possibly modelled by John Flaxman Jnr., this item is similar to the framed medallions, P*53 and P*65 (uncushioned), and P*27 (black basalt ware).
The medallion is jasperware and the style imitates antique cameos.
