The photographs document modern day share traders and their work environment. The work practice of day traders has changed dramatically in the last 5-10 years. Instead of working on the trading room floor, traders now work in offices, often with three or more computers each. The Westpac Financial Market is the largest online share trading operation in Sydney with over 160 staff. Sole traders, who work alone, may use up to eight computers which monitor different markets and indexes around the world (-- Acquisition notes, 2003).
