  • General note

The drawings in these volumes have been renumbered.
The drawings were removed from the original volume (that is filed separately) and rehoused in 2 volumes by the SLNSW Preservation staff in 1993.
Corbett Binder, City Chambers, 243 Pitt Street, Sydney bound the original volume.
Some drawings have inscriptions in more than one style of handwriting.
Nos. 1 and 13 have unfinished sketches on the reverse of image.
No.3 is affixed to a backing card.
No.5 has a blind stamp at upper right, "Extra / Superfine / Satin"
Nos. 5 and 21 have drawings on the reverse and have been numbered a and b accordingly.
Nos. 20, 27, 32, 33, 37, and 41 have an accompanying backing sheet that has been numbered b.
No. 23 has pencil notes on the reverse.
Some of the drawings were reproduced in "Historical drawings of native flowers, Harriet and Helena Scott, from the collections of the Mitchell Library, Sydney" introduced and selected by Marian Ord. Roseville, N.S.W.: Craftman House, 1988. Ash Island Series, Vol.2 (ML ref. Q709.94/48)
It is probable that this volume was donated by D.S. Mitchell owing to his relationship with the Scott family and the presence of the Corbett Bookbinders label.
