  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    The New South Wales Women's Amateur Sports Council was inaugurated in August 1931 to co-ordinate women's sports, to arrange grounds and facilities for such sports, and generally to promote the interests and further development of women's sport in NSW. By 1934 five associations were affiliated with the Council - Basketball, Hockey, Rowing, Bowls, Vigoro, Cricket and Baseball.
