Hugh Munro Hull, born in London in 1818, was a civil servant who worked at various posts in Tasmania including Senior Clerk and Keeper of Records in the Colonial Secretary's Office (1841), Chief Clerk in the Governor's Office (1848), and police magistrate and coroner for Bothwell (1856). -- Reference: Australian Dictionary of Biography.
