    Hugh Munro Hull, born in London in 1818, was a civil servant who worked at various posts in Tasmania including Senior Clerk and Keeper of Records in the Colonial Secretary's Office (1841), Chief Clerk in the Governor's Office (1848), and police magistrate and coroner for Bothwell (1856). -- Reference: Australian Dictionary of Biography.     1804-1872; Topics under alphabetical headings that relate to history of Tasmania including geography, food supplies, indigenous people, prominent individuals, and the Parliament of Tasmania (list of names). Also contains printed material from newspapers such as Register of wrecks and casualties to shipping from the Year 1835 to 1875 on King Island and adjacent reefs; Approximate estimate of the annual return from livestock in the Colony for 1873; and illustrations of the New Wesleyan Church, Launceston; Rosedale, the seat of the late John Leake, Esq., near Campbelltown, Tasmania; Regatta at Hobart Town; and map of Tasmania.
