Patrick Geraghty was born in Westmeath, Ireland, about 1792. With his brother James, he was convicted of robbery in 1814. The brothers were transported to New South Wales, arriving in the ship Canada in 1815. Patrick Geraghty was a labourer at Appin, a farmer at Woonoona and a constable at Kiama. About 1867 he became a farmer at Lismore where he died in 1879. - Scope and ContentConditional pardon granted to Patrick Geraghty by Lieutenant General Ralph Darling, Governor of New South Wales. Pardon granted by Darling on 11 March 1830; grant confirmed by Darling, after approval by the Secretary of State for the Colonies, on 21 June 1831.
