    2. Mary Jean Cameron at the age of twenty-six. This portrait was painted in 1891 by Ethel Stephens who was Julian Ashton's first pupil when he opened his private school in Sydney five years earlier

    3. The Tom Collins house at 9 Servetus Street, Swanbourne, Perth, built by Joseph Furphy ("Tom Collins"), author of Such is Life etc. Here he lived and wrote until his death in 1912. Building is maintained by the Fellowship of Australian Writers (W.A.) as a public memorial
