  • General note

    Titled and dated on upper edge
    The sketches are attributed to Looker as his name appears on the sketch sheet, however it is possible that Henry Boucher Bowerman was in fact the artist, as the style is very similar to his and other pencil sketches attributed to Bowerman are titled and inscribed in the same hand as appears on this sheet, thus it has been argued by Susanna de Vries-Evans that Bowerman drew this sketch too.
