  Titled and dated on reverse in handwritten pencil; although titled Moreton Bay, the area shown is Brisbane, though this name may not have been in use at that time
  Unsigned; the sketch was previously attributed to Allan Cunningham, but as the military barracks shown in the sketch were completed late in 1831 and Cunningham left Brisbane in September 1829, this attribution is now disproved (see letter from JG Steele 24.11.69, ML File no. 772/69)
