    This volume was compiled with the intention of publication and was presented to Sir Thomas Mitchell
    No. 2 [Aborigines fighting], attributed to William Nicholas, by Curator of Pictures, Mitchell Library
    No. 5 is similar to, "Johnny Crook. Native Name 'Yunbai', from Illawarra / E.D. Barlow. Bridge Street", ca. 1844 at SPF P1/Crook Mitchell Library
    Nos. 6 and 12 are companion pieces. Their publication was noted in the Chronicle (Sydney) on 18 April 1843.
    No. 8 ["Charley"] Spearing Kangaroos, 1847 / illustration attributed to Tufts and published with Yarra-Guinea in, "Frank Kennedy, the Australian Settler, Sydney, 1847"
    No. 10, Black Fellows, attributed to Thomas Balcombe and dated 1849 (from handwritten inscription beneath image, "Phillipe de Vigors Sept. 21st 1849") from a print held in the National Gallery of Australia (accn. no. 86.2229)
    No. 14 has been imprinted by No. 15 "General map of Australia..."
