    Jack Fingleton, cricketer and journalist, played 18 test matches for Australia between 1932 and 1938, including the "Bodyline" series against England. He published several cricket books, including "Cricket crisis" (1946), "Brightly fades the Don" (1949), "The Ashes crown the year" (1954), and an autobiography "Batting from memory" (1981)

    1. Correspondence, 1929-1980, being mainly letters received. Correspondents include Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Neville Cardus, Ben Chifley, Harold Larwood, Sir Robert Menzies, Keith Miller, Bill O'Reilly, Ian Peebles and E.W. "Jim" Swanton.
    2. Scrapbooks, 1927-1977, containing press cuttings together with some manuscript notes and correspondence.
    3. Journalist notebooks, 1940s-1970s.
    4. Diaries and appointment books, 1938-1979.
    5. Research material for "The Immortal Victor Trumper" (1978).
    6. Ephemera, 1933-1980, including menus, score cards and programs.
