  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    FILEF (Federazione Italiana Lavoratori Emigrati e Famiglie/Italian Federation of Migrant Workers and their families), affiliated to its parent body in Rome, was established in Leichhardt, Sydney in 1972. It provides welfare assistance and social and cultural activities for Italian migrants. Since 1974 FILEF has published "Nuovo Paese", a fortnightly newspaper expressing the workers' viewpoint
